RECENT PERFORMANCES
The Dolls scared up quite a Halloween party at the Octavia lounge. Joseph Magdalena on piano and vocals, Pierre Archain on bass and guest diva Charity Goodin helped bring all your favorites to life.
Easter and Mother’s Day with The Dolls
There were lots of laughs at the Octavia Lounge when the hilarious comedienne Gina Ottoboni-Stahl (aka Carmelita Rosita Alemeda De Las Pulgas) joined The Dolls for a Mother’s Day brunch show. And on Easter, Octavia Lounge was overflowing with patrons who brought their bonnets and enjoyed a special buffet brunch and fabulous music on a beautiful, sunny Sunday in San Francisco. The Dolls and Joseph rolled out quite a few new tunes, including our current favorite, Too Darn Hot.
"Love, According To The Dolls"
Liz, and Diane debuted their brand new two-act cabaret show, "Love
... According to the Dolls" at our favorite San Francisco
venue, The Octavia Lounge. It was tons of fun exploring that crazy
thing called love - from our sometimes zany point of view - with
beautiful music and a surprise guest appearance by Maghda. The
Dolls also had a great time at Octavia Lounge in December doing
our "Holiday Fun with The Dolls" show, featuring lots
of seasonal and Christmas songs.
Octavia Lounge
A Dollicious New Year's Eve Dinner Party!
The Living Dolls rang in the New Year with two fabulous, fun and sassy high-energy shows, and our full band. Guest divas Jacqueline De Muro and Charity Goodin joined in the funb. Band members included Jeffrey Gaeto on piano, John Clark on bass, and Brian Fruechtenicht on drums.

The Cliff House
The Dolls recently returned to SF's historic and beautiful Cliff
House for the Friday night music series, making music on the Balcony
Lounge with its stunning views of the ocean. The band included
Joseph Magdalena on keyboards and vocals, and Steve Hanson on
bass. We had a wonderful time!
Bacchanal Restaurant
The band had a great two-month Friday-night run at the fabulous
Bacchanal Restaurant in South San Francisco during November and
December. It's a really good restaurant and they have a great
and friendly environment, and wonderful staff. We did some new
tunes, and lots of holiday songs during December. Good fun!
Jewels In The Square Concert
Our full band did a lunchtime concert of our liveliest tunes from
the 40s and 50s as part of the San Francisco Parks Trust “Jewels
In The Square Performance Series.” Donations were accepted by
city workers for victims of the Gulf Coast hurricanes. The band
included Joseph Magdalena, our musical director, accompanist and
vocalist, Ed Williams on bass, and Dave Rokeach on drums.
Halloween Cabaret Fundraiser for Breast
Cancer Research and Education
The Living Dolls participated in a two-night run of this fun and
heartfelt cabaret dinner show at the Hoyt Theater in the Jewish
Community Center in San Rafael. We did a medley, Witches Brew,
in fabulous costumes; one of us was the good witch and one of
us was the bad witch ... guess who was which witch! A great show
with lots of wonderful performers, raffle prizes and a silent
auction raised thousands of dollars for an important cause.
Marin Brewing Company
We had great fun in the sunshine playing outside the Marin Brewing
Company at Larkspur Landing. The band included the Dolls, Joseph
Magdalena on piano and vocals, and John Clark on bass.
Speisekammer Restaurant
The Living Dolls Duo with Joseph Magdalena on piano and vocals
and John Clark on bass headlined at Speisekammer Restaurant in
Alameda blending original German recipes and a comfortable, friendly
environment with great live music.
The New Stars of the Purple Onion.
The Living Dolls, along with band members Joseph Magdalena on
piano and vocals and John Clark on bass, were featured in a fun
and fabulous cabaret showcase at the renowned Purple Onion in
San Francisco, hosted by The Kitchenettes.
Servino’s Ristorante, Tiburon.
Great dining and listening music with flair, featuring Liz and
Diane with Joseph Magdalena on piano and vocals, Seward McCain
on bass and Mike Spinrad on drums.
A Celebration of Life, City Hall,
San Francisco.
Presented by the Office of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome and
the Thai Association of Northern California, The Dolls were the
Mistresses of Ceremonies for this art auction and fundraiser to
help children in two Thai villages destroyed by the tsunami. The
event raised $45,000 that was brought directly to the villages.
